Post 513 - Alone for the holidays. Written for The Worst Holiday Ever Challenge at Moonshadow.

Brian and Justin have lived together in NYC for several years now.  Brian comes home upset one day when he finds out his newest client needs him to go on a business trip...on a slow moving train to Chicago instead of a quick flight.  Brian is even more upset that he will have to leave Justin behind, due to artistic committments, for such a long trip.  But maybe Justin has other ideas in mind.  Let's all take a journey on the Love Train.  Thanks to Eka for the beautiful banner....my first one...and Becky for helping me with her beta skills.   

Finally did it...my very first crossover story, and my QAF muse has come back home too.  So I hope you'll enjoy this new story.  For those who love Spartacus (and especially Agron and Nasir) you'll know them well.  This story is set during the revolt of the slaves of Rome between 73 B.C. and 71 B.C.  I have done my best to be as accurate to true history as I can, but the story is based on the way history is told by the Starz series, 'Spartacus'.  I've changed Brian and Justin's names slightly to fit what was used in that time period.  All the names I've used for characters are accurate according to my research.  At the beginning none of the four men have met and spent any time together.  I promise you, that will change quite quickly.  The Agron/Nasir part of the story is more canon, while the Brian (Brion)/Justin (Justinus) part of the story is certainly AU. I hope you will enjoy the blending of these two magnificent couples.

This is a songfic that was inspired by a wonderful video made by Steph on YouTube so I am dedicating this story to her. She used the song and I couldn't get the image of Brian and Justin as they parted in that final scene of the series when Brian and Justin went their separate ways out of my head. It is the Winter of 1944 in occupied France. The allies have landed and slowly, so slowly, made their attempt to push to the borders of Germany. Sergeant Brian Kinney is too busy trying to keep his men alive and do his duty to worry about anything else, much less a personal life. Everything changes one day when one of his men, recently killed in an ambush, is replaced with a raw new recruit, Private Justin Taylor. The kid looks like he's barely out of High School and totally wet behind the ears. The Sarge is not happy, especially when without warning Sergeant Kinney finds himself fighting a different kind of war than the one on the battlefield.

I am dedicating this story to my late father who served bravely and honorably in WWII and the Vietnam War. I am also dedicating this story to all the GLBT men and women who also served with honor, but in silence throughout history. Many thanks go to the amazing Eka for her brilliant banner and to my friend Pat for her beta skills. 

Hello folks. Have you ever wondered what it would have been like if Brian had used his considerable intelligence and grown up a lot sooner after Justin left him that final time before the explosion at Babylon woke him up? What if it didn't take something quite so drastic? Here is my version of Brian and his journey back to Justin. I hope you will enjoy it. Damn!  I can't believe that it is time to celebrate my Fifth Anniversary of the day I posted my very first fanfic story.  It is really true that time flies when you are having fun.  LOL!  Well folks, as is my custom I have written a new story to share with my beloved readers who have made these five years so special to me.  I hope you will enjoy it.

For this story, I decided to answer (in my version) the question that was never fully explored on the series.  We all presume that the bombing of Babylon was caused by people who hated the protesters of the Prop 14 bill.  The show never actually followed through with an investigation into the bombing.  I have come up with my own theory, and the fact that Brian is re-opening the club will bring the truth out.  Oh, and while we're at it, the re-opening will also be slightly different than what the show presented.  In my version, a certain special someone also attends much to Brian's delight.  One guess as to who I'm talking about.  

In the wake of losing a crucial political battle, Brian and Justin discuss how to go on. My retake on the Stockwell arc and the processing of my own current grief.

Brian and John take their partners on a vacation to South America to follow the path of the artist Kinney and Patrick.

Story #5 of  The Sunshine Files

A gapfiller of sorts for 213, based on Brian’s answer when Justin asked what would happen if he didn’t do his schoolwork…

“You ok?” His voice was very soft. I couldn’t answer. “What are you thinking about?” He sounded much too far away.

“Your mouth.” At least I was honest . . .

“I have an idea,” Brian says. “Are you touching yourself?”

Justin comes back home in the middle of the night with what looks like a mere cold. Brian turns all protective, trying to do his best to make his partner feel better. Written for Fandom for Mental Health.
