Brian made it to the end of the Liberty Ride.  He had ridden all day with a broken clavicle.  When Justin saw him come around the corner his first instinct was to run to him but he had come this far and Brian NEEDED to finish, not for anyone but himself. After trying to talk Brian into getting checked out at the hospital, Justin took him to the loft and stayed with him for the night. 

This was the same, only different.

This time, his filters were firmly in place, because Justin knew that kicking, punching, and destroying wasn’t going to fix this. It wasn’t going to take away the fact that his lover had cancer.

Brian finds Justin under a streetlamp, but something about the kid is special: he's a shifter, just like Brian.

I can feel him move inside of me. I feel the brush of his fingertips tracing my vein and taking my pulse until it reaches the end of its path. Everything is still beating in a palpable, melodic rhythm. I’m still breathing.

Justin’s fantasy becomes a reality…

Brian was always to blame for everything that went wrong with the Liberty gang. After a little introspection on everyone’s part, they found this wasn’t really the case. What will the family’s reaction be when they realize that they’ve all caused their own pain.
