That Selfish, Over-Inflated Wannabe Princess has been abusing and neglecting Gus for quite sometime in her scheme to have Brian all to herself along with his money.

Leda and Mel have the patience of saints because I would've killed that Bitch for what she did to Gus and Mel.

Thank Goodness Leda called and stayed on the phone to record what went down it gives credence to Mel and Brian having sole custody and Lindsay being charged with Child Endangerment, Abuse and Spousal Abuse while Intoxicated.

Only two places Lindsay would run Deb or Mommy and Daddy which means anyone of them can be charged with harboring a fugitive, I Seriously Hope it is The Petersons they will look lovely on the front page being escorted out of their home in handcuffs.

Lindsay getting high on drugs and alcohol cause neither Brian or Justin will acknowledge her is pathetic but also makes me wonder if Michael wasn't helping that new addiction too?

Mel can't blame herself for not seeing how disturbed Lindsay was being she was busy working to pay the bills and caring about Gus, Deb was with Lindsay a lot so how come she didn't notice how unhinged Lindsay was becoming?

Brian is coming and when he finds out everything Lindsay better run and never show her face ever again cause I doubt even Justin could stop him.

If course I would worry more about Jennifer her bite is about to become a lot worse than her bark cause Lindsay is now on her but Shit List and everyone else would be wise to stay off her warpath.

Yep Michael is going to be stupid and so will Deb the moment she sees Brian while he is dealing with this crisis concerning Gus and Mel.

Faults & faults Michel, Lindsay, Deb are the Most Ungrateful, Unlikeable interfering characters of QaF. Its Good to read fics like these Pointing out their evident manuplations through out show done to Brian & Justin.

Everyone has its limits. Good for Marlyn, Vic, Jen. Deb will fail try to load it on other. Lindsay should be doomed clearly.

Debbie needs to hear about Michael's invasion of Justin's privacy in her home, even though she will undoubtedly try to excuse it.  What and who has Lindsay harmed now.  It better not be Gus.

I'm surprised regarding the fact that one person can own a building and some other people can own flats within said building. Is it common practice in the US?

Hey Claire! Thanks for your question. In the US, there are several ways to own a property. Of course, there is the standard purchase of a house or commercial building. There is renting with an option to buy (done sort of like leasing a car with that same option), and then there is a situation like the one which appears in this story.

From my experience with condos vs. apartments, the one thing that can happen- and does here- is where there is a sort of split ownership. That means although Brian owns his loft flat out, he still pays a homeowner's association fee and a portion of the property taxes to the owner of the building. It's the same with a condominium complex and is usually included in a seller's (be it a realtor/ property management company, or an independent homeowner who opted to negotiate privately) contract concerning the HOA fees to be signed by the buyer. The contract can (and usually does) include a list of maintenance costs, homeowner's insurance, facility fees and in some instances closing costs at the time of negotiation. In actuality if the option is available, it's good business sense to take advantage of it since you get all the rights and privleges of owning your place, but none of the key responsibilities like fixing the roof, etc that owning an actual house has.

Christ, I can't believe Deb stood by and allowed Lindsay to act like Gus was an imposition. And what the hell bug crawled up Deb's ass blaming Brian for not answering his phone? The plotting that we were privy to when Michael and Lindsay forgot that we were sitting there and could hear every word. It's too bad a secret recorder couldn't have been left down in the couch cushion.

All money is now going between Mel, Ted, and Brian, right? Lindsay cannot physically get money from Ted, correct?

I am curious just what Michael may have tried to do in reference to the coach. As far as the tricks, yeah, we are all aware of his mantra, "He's had you, so fuck off."

Vic is a very wise, smart man. At the start of his and Mel's conversation, I couldn't help but think how much of that would have went over the other three's heads. But, when he talked to Mel about getting her and Gus out, I think it's high time Mel moved herself and Gus to sunny California.

First, let me say, imagine my TOTAL shock tonight when I signed on and seen a dozen updates from stories I read, and not one of them came into my email!!!! I AM P-Oed! I was starting to wonder if everybody had taken a hiatus from writing. Granted, I've been busy, but I certainly would have stopped in to read a chapter here and there! ARGH! Okay, rant over.

Nice chapter. I enjoyed the talk between David and Hank, which also answered some of the questions I had. But to contact Justin and get the sound bite of all the voicemails that Michael (and I assume Lindsay) left, was genius. There could have been no doubt left in David's mind what he needed to do regarding Michael.

It sounds like Laurie was raised the same WASP way that Lindsay was. Gutter WASP. It certainly wasn't the refined way Jennifer Taylor was.

Professor B... a potential love interest? Any particular Professor B? Hmm... I had to chuckle... but I can't explain why right now. I might have to PM you. It's almost too funny.

Certainly not upset you have to write more to give us the story lol 👍👍 I really enjoyed Vics intervention and then his quiet advice to Mel. I also enjoyed the new perspective on Blake I hadn't thought of that side of it. 

Great chapter.  I like Vic.  I have always felt he was a great character and had such wisdom but due to his age, he wasn't a focus.  I like his ideas for Mel.  She should take LIndsay and make notes- then take them to the court.  

Mel has to stop stalling before Lindsay, Michael and Deb bring her down too cause they wouldn't hesitate to say that she ignored Gus's crying too or neglected him to go out instead of taking care of her responsibility.

So why continue to hand them ammunition and instead take it out of their hands by taking Gus away, it will save Melanie as well because she is seeing the true Lindsay for who she has always been but managed to hide well, a Spoiled, Self-Absorbed, Mean Over-Inflated  Princess who is use to getting her own way.

Denial Is Just Denying The Obvious.

Brian protected Deb and she used her supposed form of love to abuse him while also demanding more, if Deb chooses to give Michael one cent of her retirement fund then she deserves to suffer.

How much is in that fund?

Perhaps it is time for Vic to take his own advice and get out while he still can?

Wonder what fabulous outfit Lindsay actually needed the money for?

Of course Rodney isn't intimidated by Deb she has nothing on him and he can see through her act like cellophane, even Blake can see through Michael, Deb and I bet Lindsay to the nastiness they keep buried inside.

Aunt Del sounds Amazing and will probably be very useful to Daphne cause lets face it Deb will be fired when she tries to bully Daph and doesn't stop at the first warning.
