With all these new revelations Brian, Ted and Emmett are seeing how far Michael was/is willing to go to keep his friend's attention and money focused on him.
For Michael it's all about the attention he gets from being near Brian, married to Ben, co-creator of Rage, but let any of his toys break the chains and start thinking for themselves and he starts whining and goes into sabotage mode.
He can't stand that compared to Justin who surpassed him at seventeen he is still regulated to the cheap seats, Justin didn't let anything or anyone stop him from achieving his dreams, while Michael just expects praise for breathing without needing instructions <eye roll>
Everyone found partners who are supportive, loving, kind, thoughtful and considerate to enhance their flaws, while Michael is stuck with Ben who is dependable, loyal, kind, considerate and to Michael's mind boring, of course the money isn't boring but isn't in the same league as everyone else.
Ben settled for okay but out there is he True Destiny that is an adult but still retains their childlike innocence, not a child who still needs Mommy to fight his battles, wipe his Ass and bully people to be his friends.
Ben following his dreams to not only publish his own stories but others aswell sounds Wonderful and who knows maybe there is a book in Drew that needs to come out?
They all need the facts so when they are alone the know how to acknowledge the hurt they allowed to happen because Michael was let in to us their weaknesses against them.
By the end of this All these men will be stronger together and individually.
All of them should use Michael and Deb for the money they shelled out for years, it wouldn't solve anything but it would show them that they are not their victims anymore.

Great update!!! The guys are discovering some new facts that will accelerate Michael's downfall.
The money they all gave him for the shop; he got from all of them and from Debbie! That must have been quite a bunch of money!
Ben's project seems a really good idea and if Drew is helping, that could work and give him a job he will love.
Brian and Justin are getting closer and it pleases me a lot.

I am so looking forward to all of them getting together and going over the list of messages they didn't receive, and hearing everyone's thoughts about them. And I can't wait to find out how Michael managed to do it, when it seems Brian, Ted and Emmett, were able to call their partners. I presume they will discuss Thimble Brain Ma's (Loved that name) soundbyte privately, each couple with their own counsellor. But, for during this meeting at the Pelican, Duke said they would have Ellis watch Michael, in case he meets up with the unknown variables. Should be an easy fix... Why not just have Ellis sit outside Michael's guest house, and not allow him to leave? And I'm still trying to think who these 'variables' are. (I know I've already made a guess, but I still wonder.)
14th chapter in, You said, Ben has asked Barry to make the divorce happen, lke yesterday. (Barry is the one speaking, so did you mean 'Phillip Marchand', Ben's lawyer?) I have to say, when I was double-checking those chapters in order to remember his name, I ran across Michael's inner monologue of how, he wanted to kill off JT and Ken in real life, and not just within the pages of Rage. Why can't they all see that just like in REAL life, Zepher and Rage belong together? Sorry Zepher, JT and Ken are in, and Zepher is out. Out within the story pages, and Out in REAL life. And I don't feel one iota of sympathy for you, Zepher. I actually forgot how funny that chapter was. But then again, most of the chapters with Michael's musings are funny as hell, as he's dumber than a box of rocks.

Michael being contained is the only way the others will be able to have a conversation that he can't interrupt.
Ben is celebrating this freedom from Michael and Deb but there is still more to deal with.
Everyone has a secret that his weighing on their hearts that needs to be lifted before they can move forward or get left behind.
Time for all secrets to he exposed so Michael and Deb have no weapons to use against them later when they confront them.
Getting Michael off that island and away from everyone is a good idea too, he won't rest until he has conquered and destroyed.
Ben should sell the store, collectibles and maybe the house to recoup what he lost catering to an overgrown moron, then a trip or a new residence might be in order in a gated community lol
I think they all should change their neighbors too time for Deb and Michael to face life with everyone coming to clean their messes.
Deb maybe getting the truth but like Michael she turns a blind eye when it involves Michael and after all these years it's really too late to change.

The only thing I can say about Drew is that he's still a man's man, even if he's gay. In saying that, he still has all of the basic stereotypes most men think in terms of women. Also look at who he dated before he wised up and snatched up our favorite queen, Emmett? Sierra was definitely one of those 'dainty' women who basically threw their panties at Drew repeatedly (or at least that's how I thought of her). Groupies, and also women who are determined to marry for money instead of love, are mercenary in their own rights, but never up for a physical altercation.
Now the rest of us can throw the hands, or elbows, or step ladders, and chairs as well as any man (Yours truly a leader among them. Too many barroom brawls to count under my belt, LOL), but in most men's minds, we are few and far between. Sterotypical? Absolutely! But on a positive note, in real life that's changing somewhat. As my mom always says, 'Honey child don't fool'em, just school'em,' meaning show them better than you can tell them. I think between Diane and Melanie, he'll have his eyes opened a little bit more before long!

YOU GO TEDDY! I've never read a sex scene between Ted and Blake. At least in that descriptive ferocity. It's plain to see that tape is actually having the opposite effect on everyone, as it seems to be getting them to communicate and depending on each other. Now, that they've come out of their post-coital haze, they should use Bernard as a sounding board, while all the emotions are fresh in the minds. Blake is right... Diane needs to fire Deb. I could be under 'lack of professionalism'. Let's see how her and Michael will survive with no job, and nobody to support their stupid asses!
Oh how my heart goes out to Emmett. Such a dear, sweet, wonderful man. The pain he's feeling right now is so palpable. Drew is not gonna let that stop loving you, Emmett. But, it is good to go see the counselor. The counselors all need to hear that recording, too. The counselors need to have a group meeting together with everyone, with a locked door (so Michael can't get out). So, everyone can give him some hard truths he needs to hear, before they all tell him to 'stay out of their lives'.
Well, I'm all caught up... I can't stand not being able to go from chapter to chapter. But, I will sit quietly by, and wait patiently. Your writing is worth the wait. I just saw you have a new chapter up of JT2U, so that helps. Thank you for writing this story. It is so very good.

VERY POWERFUL CHAPTER! I felt so bad for Brian to have the unvarished truth laid out for him. So happy that Brian used his quiet time to reflect on everything, deciding it was Justin he couldn't live without, then going to Justin and wanting to listen to the recording with the silent support of his husband. Justin opening his arms and Brian falling into them for comfort... Just the way it should be. I believe they started their own recovery. All they can do now, is go forward. Brian now has to decide that he doesn't need those controlling, manipulative people in his life anymore, if he wants a life with Justin. There's so much running through my head after Ben's chapter. First, Michael's machinations! How can one person be such an evil bastard? it's so funny the way he perceives Justin and Emett not having real jobs. What did he think the comic book store was? Well, he will get that glass of cold water in his face, soon. And he thinks he's gonna get men to go to B/J's villa? That does bring to mind the other "guests" on the island. Not surprised Michael was behind the Ethan debacle. Anyway, Ben dancing naked. What a picture you painted! Wowza! Oh to be a fly on the wall when Deb receives all of Michael's shit, along with the copy of the tape. I hope Carl leaves her ass.

Chapters 46-48: I'm glad Bernard is a recovered addict. In Ted and Blake's mental states, he can clearly see the signs of wanting to use. Boy, Michael better hope he can evade Brian and Ted for a while. They should approach him and ask what he knows about missed calls during their week at P-Town, and after he's spun himself into a deceitful web of lies, then present him with the papers of the messages. Try letting him talk himself out of it, after he lies so blatantly about it. Actually they should have Em with them, and all 3 of them confront him at the same time. Well... SOMEONE should place a call to Carl about Debbie's phone call to Emmett! Or, better yet, hopefully Carl walked in and witnessed the whole exchange... He did warn her! The gays of Liberty should start refusing to have her serve them... Shouldn't their allegiance be to the royal couple? And can I say how happy I am that Diane is Debbie's new boss? Yee-haw! And what the Hell was that about "Michael lending Brian money"? The guy can hardly afford the fee for a pay phone. AND... let's not forget how she just outed Em's past for all of the diner patrons and DREW to know. I wonder if it has really sunk in to Emmett what she said. If so, I can't believe he would feel sad about that part closing on his life. Deb should just ask Michael if he said that. Chapters 43-45: Holy heavens! Unholy fucking hell! How on earth did you come up with that! LOL... well, it sounds like Michael is in deep trouble! How is it that he had Brian's phone the day he started in about going to P-Town, so that Brian didn't get that call from Remson? Boy, is he gonna be royally pissed when he hears that message from Justin about Remson. And, if the guys tried calling their partners, why couldn't they see the missed texts and calls? Did he replace their phones or something? WIS?? Funny! Brian commented that he should feel some symphathy for his best friend for losing the comic. Well, all Michael has to do is get a new illustrator and start a new comic, seeing the genius he is! So, stop it Brian! Boy, Brian had a messed up sexual experiences from an early age. Not good! no wonder he used to perceive sex the way he did. I wish he'd have had thought processes reading some of those text messages. Wow! Justin's POV was really something to take in. So why, if Michael had said that crap to Justin before, what made him snap this time, and take matters into his own hands? B/J really have a lot to plow through. Pseudo-Doc? Seriously? Ben had some heavy stuff to unload, too. He really has some issues to face. First with Michael's message and not showing up... then all these missed messages. They all need to sit with their individual therapists to talk about this before they talk to each.
Letting the therapist know the latest saga in The Novotny Whine Train is a good idea because it opens the door to talk about how some catering to Michael and Deb lead to some serious rifts in their relationships.
For all of them it is time to open the floodgates and let the pain out, so they can listen, understand, learn, grow, heal.
