This was my first long fic. I'd never considered writing a fic longer than a few pages. The first chapter was written in response to a challenge, and the another challenge came along that triggered a follow up, and then another and before I knew it I'd got to six chapters and the story just took off.

This was meant to be a one off short fic written in response to a challenge "for the boys to experiment with something".
Brian is trying an experiment with an alternative lifestyle. He needs Justin’s help.

Another challenge, another chapter.
This one was written for the Moonshadow $100,000 challenge - to write a bj fic that had something to do with that amount (it coincided with us celebrating 100,000 hits on the site). At the time it seemed natural to follow on from where I'd left off with The Alternative Lifestyle Experiment.
3. Offers and Offences by Wren [Reviews - 3] (4445 words)
I think this one was another challenge, although I can't remember what the topic was now. I have a notion it was an "include these three words" type of thing. Again - it seemed to logically flow on from the end of the last one, so the story grew a little more.
In this chapter we find out what's on the Senator's agenda.

So what was Justin so shocked about at the end of the last chapter?
Oh ... and remember, I don't like Mikey. This fic has an anti-Michael warning which should be taken seriously.

This chapter was where the story was meant to end. It really was. Only somehow it didn't.
Resolutions to some of the issues in the preceding chapters.

Another challenge that triggered an idea that followed on from the story so far. I told myself it was just a footnote.
Brian has an encounter with a technician that triggers some thoughts about how to deal with violence. It started out as a piece of froth, but turned into something else.

Notes: I experienced some angst over this one. This chapter has been planned almost since the beginning.
