To say I'm obsessed with Queer as Folk would be a major understatement. I never saw the show while it was on Showtime, I found it Spring 2008 and was hooked after only one episode. Not even one episode, maybe 10-15 minutes of one show. Even the great Brian Kinney couldn't have designed an advertising campaign that could sell this show so completely, so fast if he tried... Oh wait a minute... I guess he did now, didn't he...

Hey Kathleen my Love,
I promise it will be well worth all the emotions. There are quite a few subplots at work in this fic as well. Let's just say, where Justin's logic might seem a bit skewed, he definitely has reasons for them. Being with Brian IS what he wants but not all the human baggage that comes with him. Understandably he's afraid that if he goes all in again, a certain someone will try to sabotage them again. He's going on experience being the best teacher and we all have to admit that Michael's machinations really did a number on him. Add the fact that he's not really sure of Lindsay's original motives and a whole lot of trust issues ensue.

I know I just started this chapter but I have to comment. What The Fuck! I really don't understand this Justin. He really wants to sabotage his relationship with Brian even before it starts. I know they've reinstated the rules but, Really?
What about the whole honesty thing Justin insisted on? Which by the way I didn't quite understand because Brian is always honest, even to a fault.
I knew that Jason was going to be a problem. Justin should have followed his gut, and avoided Jason since he didn't really want to see him to begin with. So why did he spend his free time with him, and stay at his house?
Now he runs away again to the backroom instead of facing Brian. Which of course is going to open a whole new set of problems with the house guests, and then there's Michael...
Why not put Lindsay and Gus up at the loft, or a hotel? Justin's only been home less than a week. So much for the honeymoon, my guess it they won't make it 30,days, let a lone 90...
You're right about all the drama and I'm afraid neither Brian or Justin is going to win in the end.
Okay back to the beginning of the chapter, maybe you'll surprise me. Fingers crossed...

Wow, Wendy really is the good witch of the east, that's nice for a change. I see you've brought back all the evil characters, but I doubt they can tumble Brian's Empire. I am worried about Hobbs, he's just unstable enough to cause all kinds of problems.
Now finally I get my happy reunion. I'm so glad that the boys are actually starting to communicate and understand one another. Yet, I know they need to keep talking there's so much left unsaid.
I can't wait for Michael to be distracted with Ben ex back in town. Won't it be nice to see him on the losing side with no one to help him.
Yep, the plot thicken and there's still what 30 plus chapters...

That was one hell of a chapter! I expected Ethan to be the one punched out, but Michael so deserved it. I am a little worried that Justin might not forgive Brian for standing up for Michael. After all he did promise to always defend Justin and never to take Michael's side again. I understand that he wanted to keep the peace, and stop the violence. But if I was Justin I'd be more than angry and hurt that Brian didn't if not physically, at least verbally put Michael in his place. And it had to hurt to see Brian once again cave to Michael's emotions, making excuses (Drunk, Angry, Jealous) letting him off the hook for his actions...

Hey Kathleen! I hope that you are continuing to enjoy Volume II! Chapter 22 was HUGE!! LOL In reference to your question, Lindsay didn't have room for Michael/ Ben to stay with her. Although the house is fairly large, it is still on the smaller scale compared to Britin. Currently staying with Lindsay is Gus, Mel, Jenny and Colby so that makes it a full house. Although Daphne can't stand Michael, she does love Ben, Deb and Carl and out of respect and compassion for them, she's willing to let the turd stay within her house since staying at Britin is certainly NOT an option.

Thanks so much for joining in this journey with me, Kathleen! The last chapter is a a doozy to write and I want to do it justice which is why it has been taking me so long to finish. That and a little melancholia to see the end of this particular verse. The TU verse was my first foray into writing fanfic. I'm so happy that it is being enjoyed despite the fact that I have to go in and do some minor editing on the back end for tense issues. It will definitely be my pleasure to revisit this all over again once I click the 'complete' button. This story and it's prequel (if you can call it that LOL) are a series of highs and lows; twists and turns; curveballs and homeruns and an absolute joy to write!

I apologize for not commenting along the way, but I'm reading on my phone and it's hard for me to type in such small space and print. What can I say? I'm Old! ha, ha, ha...
Anyways I had to stop reading at 2AM last night, because the next link from chapter 21 to 22 in Times Up 2 is broken. I guess I needed to go to sleep anyways, but it's so hard to stop reading. I'm addicted!
So this morning I went back to the table of continence and clicked on chapter 22. The link is still broken... But when I dragged my ass off the sofa, and went to my computer the links works fine.
Just one more thing, and I'm not being critical, but you need a real banner for Times Up 2. Right now you have the Kinnetikdreams award banner (Congratulations!) and it's easy to page right by it when looking for the sequel. Or it was for me I had to go back and check the fic title. It was especially hard on my phone and the font that Kinnetikdreams uses on the ap that's all curly, I can't even read what the titles are. Again, old...
Anyways I'll stop bitching, my coffees finally finished brewing, and you fic is calling me! Have I mentioned how much I love your writing!

Hey Kathleen!
Okay... so here's what originally happened. I had started writing this one FIRST and so the first 7 chapters ties into what just happened in Chapter 10 of Volume I. Originally TU Vol I was only supposed to be about 40K words but you see what a monster that turned out to be, and I had to finish that before I could continue on Vol II.
However, the first 7 of this work are the events/people that ultimately led to Brian asking for those 90 days. Whereas Chapter 10 of Volume I features ONLY Brian and Justin, this section incorporates a little of everyone and brings the entire story into the present day.
I hope you continue to enjoy it, but be warned, it is going to get angsty (more than others in some areas) but I think ultimately, you'll see just how solid Brian and Justin are and how much, despite all they've been through, they have grown. That's always my goal from the first sentence to the last.

Takes place years after Justin left for New York. He and Brian have both gone on with their lives, rarely seeing one another. When Justin receives a mysterious call from Michael, he drops everything and heads back to Pittsburgh and Brian determined to do what-ever he must to fix the problem.

I love that Justin came running to rescue Brian, and their love seems strong even with the distance that has grown between them. Ted is great and supportive as always, and of course I'm disappointed in Deb, Ben and Michael.
Why do I have a feeling that Mel is behind all of this??? Just Saying...
Brian would never hurt Emmett, I mean never... And what's up with all the memory loss? Did Brian get hit in the head with the bat too??? Okay of to continue reading...
