Great story.  I hope Brian tells Gus that he was asked to stay away.  Seems that Gus blames Brian for some of the problems.

Author's Response: Gus feels he was abandoned by his father.

Summary:

The year is 2014. Just before gay marriages are voted as legal in the State of Pennsylvania, Brian runs a campaign pro-gay marriages. The aftermath lands him in a lot of trouble. The appearance of an old friend and their quick thinking saves him from prison. Is marriage worth it to save himself from prison? Especially when Justin is back in town after many years of absence.

I'm glad that Justin told Jen and moving into Britin will be perfect.  Its a place that only a few select people know about.  I see trouble for Brian that Evan wants to be only with him.

Still reading, still enjoying.  I jsut wish Evan would accept that Brian is interested in someone else.  Brian needsssss to be with Justin.  I hope the attorney gets the decree thrown out soon.

Summary:

This story fits into the "Changed" verse.

“Who the fuck is calling me now?” Brian muttered as he rubbed his eyes and tried to focus on the clock. It was 2:16 a.m., and this call had better not be a client with some so-called emergency, because Brian had people who were supposed to deal with that, whom he’d hired in an effort to keep late night phone calls from happening. He was more than a little perturbed at having been woken up and was ready to give the person on the other end a piece of his mind, until he saw the caller’s name on the display. It was Rob, and that realization sent Brian’s heart into his throat. Rob was an “early to bed, early to rise” sort of guy, and would definitely not be calling at 2 a.m. unless something was seriously wrong.

Great story.  I half expected Justin to want kids and then you would have had a huge universe to play in.  But I like the way the story ended-  Brian and Justin happy with their life.

Author's Response:

I like their life how it is, and I still feel like the sky is the limit for them. :) I am child free by choice, so my thoughts on having children are a little different than most, and that definitely plays into my writing. I'm glad you enjoyed the story and were happy with the ending, even with no kids. ;)

Summary:

I was in Atlanta when I first started noticing the strange, intermittent numbness and tingling in the fingers of my right hand. I was finishing up some paperwork, and I was having a hard time holding onto the pen, though at the time I thought it was just because I couldn't feel my fingers in the way that I was used to. I knew I'd been pushing myself too hard, spending too much time working on my laptop and not enough time doing yoga, so I thought it was probably just stress. I needed a break, although I wasn't sure when I was going to get one, because I was only scheduled to have two days at home before I had to leave again to travel to Dallas.

You like to torture your readers.  Great chapter.  Not what I thought was wrong.  Still very scary. I know Brian will help him.

Author's Response:

I like to read intense stories, and I like to write them as well. ;) I'm really not trying to torture the reader, unless you're like me and you like it...lol. I'm curious what you thought it was though? :)

Great chapter.  I can feel the angst and the love from all the characters. You do a great job of shattering the thoughts and feelings of the characters.

Author's Response:

Thank you! <3 This story was super interesting to write and the fast pace and high angst, and the immediacy that comes from writing in present tense, together with the intimacy of first person.

I thought he had MS.  Fatigue and numbness are both symptoms

Author's Response:

Ah, that would have been an interesting direction to go, wouldn’t it?

Great ending.  Sometimes it takes a life altering experience to change your life.  I recently "retired" from a job I had for 25 years.  I am working full time at a different position using the skills I honed at my last job in the last 7 years.  I love my job and the lack of stress and freedom I have at my new position is amazing.  I no longer worry about all the things I have to do at work on any given day.  My boss, like Brian, gets it and I am so blessed  I love how the story was about Rob but also about his relationship with Brian.

New ideas-  You could go way way into the futuree-  retirement for Brian and maybe Justin-  Brian retires but Justin still works.  You've already done Brian gets hurt and Justin gets hurt.  YOu could do a story about Molly or Jennifer in this verse.  You could move forward with the new company.  They are doing some amazing things with standing chairs and exoskeletons.

You could always go sci fi and have a cure for SCI ( Spinal Cord injury) and have Brian have to decide if he would go for the cure after having lived his life with SCI for 25+ years

So many ideas -  but I jsut lvoe your writing-  you could come up with a new universe too.

Author's Response:

Thank you! <3 I'm so glad you loved the ending! It was hard not to give it away in my last response to you...ha. I don't know that I'll ever go sci-fi as that isn't my thing, but Kinnected will probably be playing a bigger part in the near future. (Brian really liked that exoskeleton ;)) I've got Gus coming up next, then Justin (and some new developments for Brian), Cynthia, then back to Brian I think (with new developments for Justin). Jennifer is definitely on my radar. I'll have to think about Molly -- that could be interesting!

Summary:

Brian, Justin, and their extended family continues to go through life.  There are ups and downs but there is nothing they can't do when they do it together.

Warning: Chapter 20 does have the death of a child in it but it is not a core character and the rest of the story does not contain anything like that.

loving this story-  but this chapter-  13 is a repeat of chapter 12-  this is true on MW as well   Can you post the correct chapter 13

Author's Response:

I have replaced it with the correct Chapter.  It seems like I do that at least once a story.  Sorry about that. I hope you enjoy the rest.

I haven't read to the end yet-  but there is no chapter 20-  ( the death of a child) is the story not finished.

Author's Response:

I am still working on the story.  I am finishing the story now and will post the remaining chapters when I am done.  I am working on 23 now and expect to finish the last couple chapters this week probably.  Hopefully by next weekend I will have the remaining chapters finished and then will post them after my beta reads them.

Summary:

I know what Brian is doing -- he’s being protective of me, the same way he always has been. That’s just his nature; he’ll do anything for his friends, and he never wants to see anyone he cares about get hurt, physically or otherwise. But I’m a big girl, and I can take care of myself.

***

Cynthia and Brian are more than just co-workers; they're friends. Family, really. But how will they support one another when push comes to shove?

Interesting twist.  I can't wait for an update.  Since in the last story, Rob has finally jined Kinnetik, this is next in the timeline.  Wonderful storyline as always.

Author's Response:

This story overlaps timeline with the previous three stories, so I could fill in some gaps and add some details to things. ;) Glad you liked the twist...more surprises are coming! We aren't done twisting yet...ha.

Great scene. Brian steps up as usual with all his friends, even if it is uncomfortable.  REally liking this story, but I have enjoyed all of them in the universe.

Author's Response:

Thanks so much! I’m so glad you’re loving it! Writing this scene was hard, feeling like I got the right balance of emotion and caring and of course Kinney snark and their easy banter with each other. Hopefully I got it in the end!

This was a great story.  I really enjoyed a story from Cynthia's point of view.  Glad she was not pregnant, but I lol when Brian offered to go with her to child birth classes and be there for her.  Love this universe and you continue amaze me with your ideas and your writing.

Author's Response:

Thank you so much! <3 It was fun to write a different POV...though I always am ready to return to Brian or Justin, I do enjoy exploring someone else's "voice." Thanks for indulging my love for "this" version of Brian! I can't seem to let him go.

Great story.  I like that Brian is secretly taking care of kids that are abused.  He cares about them and wants them to have a better childhood than he did.  I really enjoyed reading this story.

Summary:

No one had been more shocked than Brian when Melanie, of all people, had suggested that, since she didn't really celebrate Christmas, but J.R. was heading to Pittsburgh to be with her dads, perhaps Brian and Justin would rather come to Toronto to have a more subdued celebration with Lindsay and Gus.

"Lindsay never really gets to enjoy the decorations she puts up, since we're rushing around and then traveling during this time," Mel had explained. "I just thought it would be nice if you and Justin wanted to come to our place instead… You know, let Linds and Gus go all out, and then have a nice quiet holiday at home."

"Quiet" was all Brian needed to hear before he agreed.

Author's Response:

Thank you! <3 The kitchen scene with the cake was all PTW...haha. And it had been planned basically since the cake was enjoyed the first time. ;) So glad you enjoyed the story! - TI

I love the tenderness and love that comes across the page as you describe the two of them making love.  Michael is a good friend and I hope Brian figures out what is wrong soon.  As much as I hate the buildup, I do love a good story.

Author's Response:

Thank you! I really enjoy writing the physical components of their relationship, as well as portraying Brian as a sexual being even though he has a spinal cord injury. So glad your'e still enjoying the story! Lots of buildup and complication in this one as Brian looks back at everything he feels he should have seen.

Rob is great taking care of Brian.  I jsut hope Justin is not a giant mess when he comes home.  The perfect ( or imprfect as the case may be) is that he is also having major issues as well.

Author's Response:

Glad you enjoyed that little hurt/comfort interlude between friends! ;) The dynamic with Justin is definitely going to be an interesting one when he finally gets home, because you're right, he is having some major issues himself, and now he's about to be put into the caretaker role.

Great chpater.  Glad that Brian's injury was not as bad as it could have been.  I wish Brian wasn't so damn stubborn and leary of asking Jsutin what is wrong.  Justin seems to be in his own little world and Brian is so wrapped up in protecting him that he is making excuses for Justin's iffy behavior.  Hopefully he will wake up or at least push back on Justin.

Author's Response:

Thanks so much! :) Brian got lucky, for sure! Things could have been a lot worse. I think Brian is gunshy when it comes to asking Justin what is wrong, because he's so afraid that the problem is him -- those insecurities cropping back up again that have been "his" since childhood, that he normally hides behind his walls. Brian is protecting himself here, subconsciously...afraid of the truth.

cliffhanger-  well I know you won't kill either of them off- but woman, you do write lots of cliffhangers-  hopegully, Brian will get there soon and he can get Justin to talk and if not, take him someplace safe-

Author's Response:

You're right in that this is is not a death fic...but there will definitely be some drama in the next chapter. And I think this is the last cliffhanger! Thanks for reading :) And hanging in with all of my cliffhangers...haha.
