A relaxing time in the loft after Brian's surgery

Author Notes: Point of View Brian and Justin. What does one do on New Year’s Eve? Spend it with old friends, of course, remembering past, and perhaps better, times. The split with Justin is still a gaping wound for Brian, although he would never admit it. And Brian turns to his usual forms of forgetting auld acquaintance.
There is a brief reference to my Christmas-holiday story, "Let Nothing Ye Dismay" although this is not, technically, a sequel.

The new student in Pittsburgh’s North Hills High-School, Brian Kinney, finds himself labeled as an outcast. That is, until he meets the boy who accepts him... and helps him explore his growing sexuality. A defining relationship that begins to mold Brian into the man he would become. A precursor to the Requiem Series.

Brian seizes an opportunity to make good use of the extra hour provided by the turn to standard time.    

Justin and Daphne just wanted to kick the soccer ball around. But this leads to Justin being a star player and meeting the Stud of Liberty Avenue.

Our fourth and final (I think) in the Man I Hate? the series has begun.  Brian and Justin along with their boys, Aiden and Gus, along with Ted and Victor with their new ward, JR are heading home from the cabin. The boys will be heading back to school in a couple days.  Ted and Victor are going to build their own cabin near Brian and Justin's and they are thrilled to be able to help with JR.  They had always wanted a family and now they had one.   

Justin's ex is threatening to take Aiden away and while Brian and Justin fear they may lose one of their sons, Ted and Victor may be adding one.  

(Child abuse will be mentioned in a past memory at the beginning of this story.)

Summary: Six months later a new enemy arrives with an evil plan to separate Brian and Justin. Can they survive sacrifices and deception to save their future together?
