Author Notes: Point of View Brian and Justin. What does one do on New Year’s Eve? Spend it with old friends, of course, remembering past, and perhaps better, times. The split with Justin is still a gaping wound for Brian, although he would never admit it. And Brian turns to his usual forms of forgetting auld acquaintance.
There is a brief reference to my Christmas-holiday story, "Let Nothing Ye Dismay" although this is not, technically, a sequel.

The new student in Pittsburgh’s North Hills High-School, Brian Kinney, finds himself labeled as an outcast. That is, until he meets the boy who accepts him... and helps him explore his growing sexuality. A defining relationship that begins to mold Brian into the man he would become. A precursor to the Requiem Series.

Justin accompanies Brian back to Penn State where Brian must face his past. In the process, Justin begins to understand how a relationship with his professor helped Brian develop into the man he is today. 

His stint in New York wrapped up, Justin has returned to Pittsburgh to surprise his lover. He and Brian are celebrating at the loft when they get interrupted...    

Justin gets a new teacher his senior year of high school. Things take a dark turn after he starts a relationship with the man.

A rewrite of the series where I correct perceived wrongs.

This story is set in the fictional world of Gilead (from the Handmaid's Tale). Don't worry if you don't know anything about that world, I will explain before the first chapter. 

Five years after Justin has fled Gilead he receives an unexpected call that will change his life forever.

In this story Justin is with Ethan (I know, don't kill me! I promise it won't be like that forever and I promise that Ethan is not the bad guy here!). They didn't meet in season 2, in this story they only met after Justin had fled Gilead.

I sigh and tip my chair back so I can rest my back against the wall, mostly because I want to fidget. Because I’m sitting alone in an exam room in the NewYork-Presbyterian emergency room, waiting for someone to wheel Gus back in -- and for someone to tell me what the fuck’s going on.
