Summary: Brian becomes stranded at a resort/hotel in Vermont. His aggravation swiftly turns into excitement when he meets the beautiful blond artist working at the hotel.

Gus’ lips rolled inward, a carbon copy of Brian’s signature contemplative look. “I just like…” he sighed again, more heavily this time. “I just wish I could forget about this for, like, an hour or something.” 

Brian made a small noise of realization that made Justin look toward him, and as soon as he registered the intention on his husband’s face, he moved closer to Brian and hissed, “No. Brian, you can’t.” 

Brian gave Justin his most charming smile and said, “Oh, but I can!”

A heartbroken Gus spends a weekend in New York with Brian and Justin. In an effort to help his son, Brian turns to a tried-and-true method.

Brian discovers a framed photograph on his desk at work.

Nine year old Gus has joined the Boy Scouts and wants Dad to join him on a Father/Son camping trip to the Allegheny National Forest. He is congratulating himself on his good luck when Justin agrees to substitute for him, until bad news comes near the end of their trip.

Brian indulges in some late night thinking: He never thought he’d be this calm, relaxed and satisfied at this point of his life, and he wonders what he has achieved so far, what the world one day will remember him by.

SUMMARY:  That damned Showtime channel and their time limits. Due to circumstances beyond their control (I'm sure), Cowlip et al were exceedingly surprised when the finale of QaF was cut short by a few minutes. It changed everything and, boy, were they pissed. But... what were a couple of rich, influential producers of a successful ground breaking hit show to do? Apparently, nothing. The milk had been spilled, the cart overturned, the bridge burned... But, here is how the ending was ACTUALLY filmed. (I swear, this is true. I heard it from a friend who has a cousin who works with this guy who dated a celluloid vault-keeper's sister...)    

Takes place during 507. The break-up, and the fight between Brian and Michael told mostly from Justin's point of view. Written for Fandom 4 Nicaragua fundraiser.
