I have a new short story for my wonderful readers. My inspiration comes from the fact that we never got to see Justin joining Brian on that famous charity bike ride. There were so many possibilities for such an adventure for the two of them. This story is set Post Season 5, a few years later. I hope you will enjoy the vacation as much as our boys have. Happy Thanksgiving to all my readers who are celebrating the holiday. For those who don't, I still hope you have a wonderful week full of things and people to be thankful for.
For this year's annual Thanksgiving story, we move forward in time to the second year after Justin has moved to New York City. He and Brian see each other as often as they can, but it is far too seldom for either of them. When Justin is invited to spend his second Thanksgiving away from Pittsburgh with Mel, Linds, and Gus in Canada he is happy to go thinking he'll see Brian there. Brian himself crushes that dream. First read this on Moonshadow and very happy to re-read it and review on KD. Yet another awesome story. I especially loved that Brian and Justin were so secure in their relationship that no big discussion was required about what to do about, and with, Gus. This just begs for a sequel where the girls return to Pittsburgh and finally get their comeuppance. They don't deserve to get away with this shit! Just more of Lindsay's selfish and entitled attitude. I always thought she was a conniving manipulator who undoubtedly worked constantly behind the scenes to undermine Mel's confidence in herself and their relationship and to make her feel threatened and inadequate in comparison with Brian. She was a nasty piece of work. Big fan of all your stories :-)
Summary: Gale's in pain and worried about the future of his relationship with Randy. RPS sequel to Life is a Cabaret and Go Get Him, Peter Pan. Although this one-shot can be read on its own, you'll probably enjoy it more if you read the other two stories first. I have no idea how I have previously missed reading this. So many wasted years, but maybe they were required for Brian and Justin to finally be able to put their love for each other into words... to believe and accept that this is their time, at long last. Great story.
The reason I recommend 'Betrayal' by Julesmonster is not only because it's so well written, creating a wonderfully detailed AU world, but also because these characters are so much more mature and (in some respects) real than the ones we saw in the show. By keeping their relationship out of the view of the Family, both Brian and Justin had time to grow and change and become the people we want to see them as. It's a wonderful read and the fact that it's part of a nice long series will keep you entertained for many fanfic-filled nights. Enjoy! - TAG

This is such a wonderful story that leaves you wanting more. I loved every minute of watching Brian's masks slip away as he accepted his love and appreciation for Justin. It was also great seeing Brian discover he had members of his own family looking out for him. His Aunt and Uncle just accepted him no questions asked, and they respected Brian and Justin as a couple.
