Brian has been acting strange for several weeks. Michael decides to search the loft while Brian is out of town on business to see if he can find any clues to his best friend's recent behavior. What he finds is a copy of Brian's will. And now he wants to know... just who the hell is Justin Taylor and why is Brian leaving him his entire estate?

Brian is an Art Critic for the Sun Times, who has obsessive compulsive disorder. Justin is a well-known, yet lonely artist. For six years, Brian has written words regarding Justin's work for the paper. Justin feels that the words the critic wrote were as though he had painted his paintings himself and knew each piece as he himself knew them. For six years, Brian is too shy to ask for an interview, much to his boss' annoyance. Due to the way Brian dresses…in clothes from Wal-Mart with the exception of his sports jerseys, Justin assumes the man is straight, though he secretly keeps a scrapbook and sketchbook devoted to the man. What happens when Brian's boss draws the line and insists that Brian conduct a one on one interview with Justin Taylor?

A little hair fun has unexpected results.

“All I’m saying is, someone should have called Justin.”

The blond young man standing outside the door to the diner was surprised to hear his name in a conversation coming from inside.

“Brian told me not to. What was I supposed to do, go against his wishes and do it anyway?” Justin recognized this voice -- Michael.

“I know he told you not to. I was there.” Ben. “I said it then, and I’ll say it again now: It’s disrespectful to Justin to not tell him, or at least warn him ahead of time. Can you imagine what it’s going to be like Justin walks in and sees him?”

This was the same, only different.

This time, his filters were firmly in place, because Justin knew that kicking, punching, and destroying wasn’t going to fix this. It wasn’t going to take away the fact that his lover had cancer.

This was why he didn’t do boyfriends. He didn’t do love. He didn’t do commitment. Because when you do boyfriends...love...commitment...you let yourself get attached. When you do boyfriends, you hope and pray they won’t ever leave you. Because if they do, you’ll feel like your soul has been torn out and you have nothing left to live for.

Story #46 of the Sunshine Files

While watching a discussion about video sexting on the TV talk show, 'The View', I began to imagine what would happen if Brian and Justin decided to indulge in a little of this new trend while being separated by miles after Justin moves to New York City. I hope you will enjoy where my fantasies have taken me.

Brian is rewarded for a job well done with an all expense paid vacation in the Florida Keys and the use of his client's private estate on one of the islands. He and Justin have a romantic getaway that is rudely interrupted by an approaching hurricane. Will our boys survive another brush with violence, this time by Mother Nature?

Post 5-13. Brian ends all contact with Justin from one day to the other and Justin has no idea why.
