The first episode of season 3 was unbelievably off the mark for me - and for so many reasons.

First, Justin made the biggest mistake of his life by choosing Ethan over Brian, showing just how far he had strayed from the ability he once had to read the man who had thrown away his rule book, and was scrambling to write a new one as he went along.

Worse still, in my book however, is that while Brian had plenty to answer for to Justin regarding his behavior, it was his family that once again blamed Brian for all the wrongs in the world, never once considering the fact that hitting Michael was so far out of character for Brian that something really huge must have triggered it.

Once again the golden child could do no wrong, only Brian knowing how far out of line his so-called best friend's comments about Justin had been, and everyone quickly rallied around Michael with love and support, while directing nothing but anger and disgust at the one man who had always been there to pick up all the pieces in their lives.

Ok...so now that I got that off my chest

Justin has been back from New York for a week and in that time the "family" just wouldn't leave him and Brian alone to enjoy their reunion. There have been countless calls demanding Brian produce Sunshine, unannounced visits and several walk-ins performed by Michael, of course.

On one such evening, as Brian and Justin are in the middle of foreplay, Michael barges in and without regard to what he interrupted demands that they join him and the guys for a night out at Woody's. When Emmett suggests a "couple's pool game," Brian and Justin have to decide if the stakes are too high -- Freedom from Family vs. Learning to Share. Who will win the Tawdry Tournament?

Justin is living in NYC with his boyfriend, Connor James, who is an actor. He comes home from a trip to Pittsburgh to find a 'Dear John' letter from Connor who's gone to LA for a movie part. The next morning Justin wakes to find Brian Kinney pounding on his door, apparently thinking he's sublet the apartment. Brian is just starting a new job in NYC. Justin has nowhere to go either. It seems like the best solution is to just share the apartment, at least for a while. It pretty quickly becomes apparent though that these two men aren't exactly compatible roomies. But there's a definite attraction between them too. How are these two very different men going to handle cohabiting in a small apartment? A QAF Fanfic Novella very loosely based on the classic movie, The Odd Couple.

Justin knows that Brian didn't get to do a lot of the things other kids usually do around holiday times. So, he decides to show Mr. Kinney just how much fun an Easter Egg Hunt can be - only he has to make this particular scavenger hunt Kinney-approved which means it will have to be a little more naughty and somewhat kinkier than what you'd normally expect. Set sometime after 513 when the boys are living at Britin.
