Everything was perfect.

Brian and I were finally together in New York, making both of our dreams come true. I was working from a spacious, comfortable studio in SoHo, and the first show of my return to the city was scheduled for the following weekend. Brian was out with a real estate broker, looking at potential office spaces for the soon-to-be New York expansion of Kinnetik. We had wedding rings on our fingers, having finally tied the knot a few years before, in front of all of our family and friends in Pittsburgh.

Our lives were full of new and exciting opportunities, both professionally and personally. I felt like everything was falling into place in a nice, neat, orderly fashion, one piece after another.

Then, I had the misfortune of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. And the puzzle that was my life -- so carefully and painstakingly assembled over the years -- was picked up and thrown to the ground, scattering the pieces everywhere.

And everything wasn’t so perfect anymore.

This is the final story in the Double Trouble Trilogy.  It picks up about 6 years after 'Graduation' ends.  JR is happily married to husband Noah and pregnant with her first child... the first Grandchild for Brian and Justin.  Gus is also happily married to husband Jason.  This couple wants nothing more than to also make Brian and Justin Grandparents, but it has not been as easy for them.  Then, out of nowhere, someone from Gus and JR's Canadian past comes back into their lives and may be the solution that Gus and Jason have been praying for.

This is the sequel to Double Trouble and it will help you to understand the characters and their motivations if you've read DT first. Hopefully this one will stand up well on its own. This story picks up four years after DT ends. This time it is Gus and boyfriend Jason who are graduating from college and their sisters who are graduating from high school. The story will look back on the previous four years and then move on to their new lives together. Brian and Justin, still happily married, look with pride on the kids they helped move into adulthood together. When Brian wins big on the lottery he and Michael take off for 2 years. Upon their return, Debs is delighted, not only are her boys back but they are finally a couple...but only according to Michael. What he thought has been a dream adventure has been a litany of moaning, complaining and bitching for Brian, so bad did it get that he cut the trip short! Now he's back and needs something to do...Ted and Emmett find him something to do during the day and his passion for photography finds him something do at night...oh and there's the little matter of Lindsay...she wants a baby and wants Brian to play daddy, or should that be Daddy Warbucks, but does Mel want to play mommy still?

Billionaire ad exec, Brian Kinney has just moved to town, riding in on his motorcycle to open a new branch of his very successful agency, Kinnetic. Soon after settling in to one of the largest mansions in the area with his two dogs, he meets his neighbor, Justin Taylor. Justin is a world renowned cellist who has recently moved into a nearby mansion.  He loves fast cars, adorable cats, and has the annoying habit of practicing….loudly, (at least according to Brian) for hours on end. Despite his initial annoyance, Brian soon grows fond of the music and the cellist, but after experiencing a broken heart in the past has vowed to never allow himself to love again.  The problem is, the heart wants what the heart wants, and there's not much the brain can do to stop it.
